This single DIN receiver electronics system takes in-dash multimedia centers to a whole new level. The DVD player features a flip-out LCD monitor with touchscreen controls. Far from just playing videos, the in-dash AM/FM car stereo device also allows you to stream MP3 music, save and view photos via the USB port, make and receive hands-free calls via Bluetooth, and use the rear view camera input. It features a built-in 3-band parametric equalizer that has custom as well as preset options. The Power Acoustik PTID-8920B is a region-free DVD player so you can enjoy watching your favorite movies wherever you are, even when driving abroad. The single DIN receiver’s 7-inch screen provides good viewing space, and the 400 by 234 widescreen resolution provides a clear picture. The motorized monitor is angled via two-way positioning motors and the memory facility stores this angle so that you can view the screen from the preferred angle each time. Not only does this feature enhance your visibility, but also helps to prevent glare on the screen. The third film transistor (TFT) LCD monitor on the Power Acoustik PTID-8920B has a built-in, energy efficient LED backlight with brightness and dimmer capabilities. Navigate through the Power Acoustik PTID-8920B DVD player’s settings and menus using the display’s touchscreen controls. The easy-to-use display also includes MP3 information and CD information. You can enter custom options for the integrated equalizer. Utilize the built-in Bluetooth 2.0 facility to sync and scroll through your contact lists and make and receive hands-free calls. The Bluetooth connectivity also enables the audio streaming of MP3s through an enabled smartphone using A2DP. As well as video playback, the Power Acoustik PTID-8920B DVD player has car audio playback features. An AM/FM frequency radio tuner is integrated in the in-dash car stereo unit, and the audio equipment plays CDs. At the front and rear of the car audio system are 2v pre-amp outputs, and a fixed subwoofer output of 80 Hz is at the back of the electronics unit. The subwoofer level control is variable. Other electronics equipment with audio outputs, such as handheld game consoles, can be connected to the audio system via the 3.5 mm auxiliary audio input. Use the rear view camera input in the Power Acoustik PTID-8920B device to avoid objects that you are unable to see via your vehicle’s mirrors. The camera is connected to the triggered camera input and prevents your bumper from accidentally bumping into items when driving conditions are not optimal. The front USB 2.0 input connects flash drives of up to 16 GB. This provides both audio and video playback as well as the facility to save and view photos on the JPG photo viewer display. The SDHC card reader can read an SD card of up to 32 GB for the same purposes as the USB port. In order to keep this equipment secure, the single DIN receiver unit has a motorized faceplate that is detachable in order to prevent it from being stolen.
