This comes in pieces but assembly is simple. I would advise using thread lock on the two supplied bolts to ensure they don't vibrate loose at an inconvenient time. Installation on the bike is a five-minute, job. All in all, this looks to be adequate and a good value for the cost. It also agrees with the look of the bike.
