THE BELL HAS A LOVELY SOUND AND IS LOUD ENOUGH TO BE HEARD A GOOD DISTANCE AWAY. THE BELL WAS USED IN EMERGENCIES TO CALL WORKERS IN IF THEY HEARD THE CONSTANT RINGING. BELL IS APPROX. 6" ACROSS MOUNTED ON A WOODEN STRIP THAT IS 16" LONG - HAS A STRIKER MOUNTED WITH A CHAIN TO THE ORNATE METAL STRAP THAT THE BELL IS BOLTED TO - SHOWS USE MARKS TO PAINTED SURFACE - IT HAS ONLY HAD A LIGHT CLEAN UP”
