This advanced model adds a distinctive flat-panel display to already powerful technology to make finding fish easier than ever. The FL-12 uses the next generation of interference rejection systems. This helps fight unit cross-talk when more than one Vexilar is fishing near you. It features 10 steps of interference rejection in all. The 20-foot Low Power mode scans thick weeds and shallow water, something not many fishfinders are capable of.The Ice-Ducer traducer self-levels, meaning the device floats in the ice hole. Only one winter sonar company uses top-quality Barium Titanate in its transducer crystals, and that's Vexilar. This specialized material is designed to provide years of hassle-free performance in the coldest environment. The 12-degree Ice-Ducer in the FL12 fishfinder and flasher functions all the way down to 45 feet.With this version, the company's Fishfinder line gets a stylish new look that increases the viewing angle by 50 percent. This is accomplished with a larger-sized screen that prevents the trapping of rain or snow. The screen also boasts a resolution of 525 segments for maximum clarity of the images it produces. Operation of the unit is simple with just two control knobs. The unit also features an enhanced new receiver that provides reduced noise and clearer signals. Dual Auto-Zoom settings allow you to split the three-color sonar, live-action display. This way, you can choose which water column depth to focus on.This Vexilar ice fishing Fishfinder has five depth ranges: 20, 40, 60, 80, and 200 feet below the boat. Each depth is color-coded and numbered so you can easily identify which range you are monitoring. The unit comes with the FL Digital Depth Indicator for a digital depth readout that's easy to read. The unit also lets you check the level of power remaining with a single button's press.Powering the FL12 ice fishing Fishfinder and flasher with transducer is a 12V, 9Ah battery. The Ultra Pack Case housing the unit features a unique enclosed battery compartment. This compartment is designed with a built-in master on and off control switch. The power supply is enclosed in the unit's casing. Therefore, you needn't disconnect and reconnect the charge before and after each use. Built-in remote charging ports make recharging the power supply a breeze. The unit's dimensions are 4.4 inches high by 6.0 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep. The unit weighs 1.1 pounds.The fishing electronics unit also includes several accessories. These outdoor accessories include a built-in cable storage system, an adjustable rod holder, and a tackle box. The shape is designed so that the unit fits easily into a five-gallon bucket.
