    For Toyota if you get a Check Engine Light and the Trac Off Light, the cruise control will not turn on. Ck you gas cap for a good seal, clean cap & mating surface on tank inlet. Read your codes if P0705 cap may clear. The Transmission Neutral Safety switch is also a common cause of this code. 2012 Yaris 81k miles the sensor / switch is located on the radiator side / salt spray side of the engine & transmission. It was crusty and can tell the internal switches are not smooth. Thanks.
