About this product

Product Information

Apart from two educational titles, Sharp Shot was the only Intellivision game from Mattel Electronics explicitly for young children. Bundling four simple shooter games with only one control -- the fire button -- Sharp Shot was aimed at the absolute novice.

Football Passing was a simplified version of Intellivision NFL Football. Touching the disc sent receivers into motion, and pressing the side button while no opposing players were in the way resulted in a touchdown. Otherwise, an incompletion or interception occured. Players worked against the clock to throw as many touchdowns as possible.

Space Gunner simplified another Intellivision game, Space Battle. Gunsights for players appeared fixed on the screen as alien spacecraft flew past. Players could destroy aliens by pressing the side button when an alien entered their sights. The blast from exploding aliens could destroy other craft, boosting the shooter's score. The player destroying the most aliens before time expired won.

Submarine was an easy, timed version of Mattel's Sea Battle. Target ships sailed past the player1s submarine, which fired torpedos vertically at them. Players took turns operating the submarine, trying to score as many hits as possible in the time allotted.

Maze Shoot simplified Intellivision's Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Cloudy Mountain into a shoot-'em-up. Players fired from fixed positions at approaching monsters. Monsters reaching the player's treasure and returning home without being shot deducted one point from the player's score. The player's arrows could ricochet off walls, offering more opportunities to hit the monsters.
