Well, after taking my bmw to the dealership for a steering wheel and lock icon, would not crank, being told it was the cas and it would cost 2,000 to fix. Had my car towed home, sent cas out to be tested, it was fine. Long story short, we found this gadget, my son dropped the steering column as directed, connected this part, it immediately unlocked my car! After $900 wasted at bmw dealership, this fixed the problem! Very grateful! Thank you
