It was visible through the damaged factory packaging that it had become rusty. It required professional cleaning and removal before use. As a solution I offered them a partial refund to make up for the cost of rust removal. They were rude, accused me of feedback extortion and wanted a complete return and refund because now it's been professionally cleaned and they know for sure the component is usable
