A lot of pattern sellers charge for that, but I include it in my asking price (it doesn't always cover all the shipping cost). I'm sorry you were unhappy with the charge. Sellers of eBay items (including patterns) don't always know what other prices would be. A lot of patterns I sell are discontinued, and so it's hard to know what else is available. If you are unhappy, you can return the pattern to me for a refund (although I'm guessing it's too late for that).
