My recently purchased 2006 MX5 NC had a spoiler fitted to the boot that I wanted to remove. Wasn't looking forward to trying to and damaging the boot in the process. Went looking on ebay for a 2nd hand boot and found Sports Cars & Spares just what I wanted. Went to pick up in person and they were very helpful and let me pick the one that I thought looked in the best condition. In truth, all the boots on sale looked in good shape and just needed a spit and polish. Recommended a visit.
