Notes
Sohio hails from a small village in Butler County that, as of the 2000 census, boasted a population of around 700. Members of the quintet bring big talent to their small-town vibe, seemingly inspired both by their isolation and their easy access to Dayton and Cincinnati. The band manages to sound very of-the-now (you can hear some similarities to everything from The White Stripes to The Strokes), but their songs have a more natural energy. The band's 'Money and Love' album is loaded with deft, diverse Indie Rock, but these aren't some hipsters or hipster wannabes. Their music's organic energy gives it a more timeless feel.
