Upon using the knob to slide the rail jerks in steps, in the making process of the rail gears strip is found fixed using some sort of glue I’ll not recommend throwing money on this product

Apparently well-made, set screws to retain position once adjusted. Robust construction, but possibly not heavy duty enough for constant pro use. Time will tell. I believe it is money well spent for macro photos in the studio.
