This replaced the 12 year old compressor (same model) for the BD exhaust brake in my 2006 Dodge Ram. So much quieter. I had forgotten what it used to sound like. My old one was vibrating and clattering and took forever to make pressure. This new one takes about 1 second. And doesn't leak down over time. The Old one took 6 to 20 seconds and sounded like it was going to self destruct. Very happy with this purchase.
