The Third Edition includes coverage of the most recent Supreme Court decisions and the latest developments in ERISA litigation and preemption of state laws. The Third Edition of INTRODUCTION TO EMPLOYEE BENEFITS LAW: POLICY AND PRACTICE is accompanied by a comprehensive Teacher's Manual that is designed to minimize the time necessary for class preparation. The Teacher's Manual contains: (1) briefs for every major case reproduced in the casebook; (2) suggested Socratic questions (and answers) to prompt class discussion of the material; (3) answers to all of the questions presented in the text of the casebook; (4) PowerPoint slides to illustrate major concepts and principles of the law; and (5) a suggested syllabus for an introductory three-credit hour course. The Teacher's Manual and the PowerPoint slides are available in an electronic format that may be downloaded and customized by the instructor to form an instant set of lecture notes. Finally, as with prior editions, instructors adopting the Third Edition of INTRODUCTION TO EMPLOYEE BENEFITS LAW: POLICY AND PRACTICE will automatically receive semi-annual updates via e-mail in August and January of each year.
