Item description from the seller
Seller feedback (11,139)
- *****- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseDrive worked for about 10 days before suddenly and mysteriously failing. Checking Windows Disk Management and DiskGenius, it gave an incorrect capacity reading of 3.86GB and could not be initialized due to what appeared to be an I/O error. Reading around the Internet, various disk experts indicated that this meant the disk's firmware was either corrupted or couldn't be read from the physical disk, meaning a hardware failure, reportedly common to older Seagate drives.
- *****- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseSeems to work fairly well, easily installed, appears functional and intact, arrived quite quickly. Will take it for a test drive for 1-2 weeks and report further.
- *****- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchasenone of the cables I have for my seagates fit this It was worthless. Why didn't the seller advise that this new seagate won't work with the old cables. What a rip off . And the cable that I somehow bought when I bought this drive isn't useable. Very disappointed
