Synopsis
Will and Schmidty, two young 1917 west Texas cowboys, en route to Raton, New Mexico to 'fetch a string of ponies,' chance upon a transcontinental train, stopped dead on the tracks by an impeding landslide. On board: a disparate California bound collection of characters looking to make motion pictures -- and, somehow, the cowboys find themselves being whisked away to join them -- only to learn upon their Hollywoodland arrival that America has joined in the fight in the Great War.
