The top mounting tab, where the bar attaches to the radiator housing, was not at the correct angle to sit flush against the radiator. This created a gap that prevented the bolt from being properly tightened down. However, I was able to bend the tab, a little bit at a time, to the right angle, after which installation was a breeze.
