Bossk's role in the Star Wars film series may have been limited to one scene in "The Empire Strikes Back," but this character made a lasting impression. He is seen in the crowd of bounty hunters gathered by Darth Vader near the middle of the movie. Bossk became a fan favorite, which is why Hasbro has honored this character with a Star Wars Black figure. Bossk was released in Series 7 as part of the Phase 2 rollout of figures. The Bossk action figure is 6 inches tall. The Star Wars Black Bossk figure features over 20 points of articulation across his entire body. His neck, elbows, shoulders, wrists, hips, and ankles are all on a combined swivel/hinge joint. He features a ball-jointed torso along with double-hinged knees. In addition, he has swivel thighs, calves, and ball-jointed ankles. This level of articulation means you are able to maneuver this Star Wars action figure into some action-oriented poses. For example, pose him in a deep crouch, stalking his prey, or pose him leaping through the air, getting ready to pounce on Han and Chewie. Even more impressive, this figure features a first for the Star Wars Black series of figures—an articulated jaw. The jaw opens and closes thanks to a hinge at the base of the mouth. There are certainly plenty of ways to set up Bossk on your desk or shelf. This Star Wars action figure features a high level of detail. His yellow flight suit is sculpted with wrinkles in the fabrics. This level of detail makes it look like the figure is actually wearing a real suit. The suit also features a flight harness and other details like straps, zippers, and pockets. The flight harness is made from a flexible plastic, which means that articulation is not hampered at all by this piece of clothing. This level of detail extends to the character's scales as well. Bossk also features a paint wash on his scaly skin. This paint wash helps to bring out the little details, such as the individual teeth in the mouth. The paint is sealed using a high-quality sealant, ensuring it won't chip or scratch from being handled. Inside of the creature's mouth is a fully sculpted tongue. His red eyes feature black pupils inside of them, giving the character a menacing look. The Hasbro Black Series Bossk comes with the same gun he was holding in the "Star Wars" film. This gun comes with a strap, letting you sling it over the character's shoulder when not in use. Bossk is also fully compatible with other accessories released in the Star Wars Black Series of figures. Both the gun and figure are created from a high-quality mix of PVC and ABS plastic. This high-quality plastic lets the toy withstand heavy play sessions without breaking. With its attention to detail and high-quality plastic, this Hasbro Black Series action figure perfectly recreates the film character. No collection of Hasbro Black Series toys is complete without the bounty hunter Bossk.
