The CPU was externally wrapped in bubble wrap, however, the wrapping directly on the CPU was foam, so it required some cleaning to get rid off the foam bits. I was planning on washing it anyway so it wasn't a big deal. CPU works exactly as described nothing out of the ordinary. Great value for this CPU as I recommission old motherboards etc.
