The description states "This was a display item, and has some light scratching on the side near the handle. Never used." The knife WAS definitely in some kind of use. Moreover, it was sharpened with some bad kind of sharpener. I can clearly see the signs of on the cutting edge. Maybe it was "Display item" to display abilities of some sharpener, I don't know. I will resharpen it, and it will function well i guess, but it's definitely not "open box"
