Everything went well and the new electric powered strut was fitted, connected and operational within 40 minutes. The only slight difference was that the cable grommet on the new unit was a larger diameter than the original Ford unit. I spliced the original grommet and fitted it in place of the new larger grommet. The unit works fine and quietly
