The instructions state that there is a black wire that is not used in most applications. It is the Ground Wire to the Battery. It was needed in my case, but doesnt state what it would be used for in the instructions. The key fob is really nice to use, the manual mod is best in my opinion as the automatic mode has a lot of distance that is activates. close to 40ft.
