I have been having a love-hate relationship with this bronze and planning to seek a refund from the seller who is aware that the item I bought is not the one I received in the mail. The photos I will attach will plainly illustrate the inferiority of the channeled or ribbed surfaces of the item now in my possession. I do love the relatively large Chinese characters which circle the rim though some are blemished, and I wonder where I would find a replacement if I were to seek a refund.

The refund occurred because by mistake, I bought the item twice, but the staff were wonderful and I quickly received a refund. They understood that fatigue makes errors.
This bronze is stunning, made more so with the application of a wax or other enhancing material that I can't identify.
This is a happy instance of my receiving an item which is more beautiful than the one I bought, due to the work of the seller or his staff, to whom I am grateful.

I have been in contact with the seller who is aware that I did not receive the item that I paid for.
He is aware that later today I will seek a refund formally through eBay.
The item I bought has a number of small and delicate, glossy motifs of several delightful colours, but these have been obliterated, buried or swamped beneath what I suspect was a spray applied to its many surfaces.
The item I bought was a delight to the eye, but what has been delivered to me is ugly and without charm.
