Safely received, thank you. Certainly an interesting picture, it plainly dates from the period, and I am inclined to agree that it can most reasonably regarded as drawn by Kaufmann herself, perhaps for someone who knew the dead girl (if she was not personally known in Ann Home's circle I cannot think why Kaufmann should have made so much of the matter over a number of years, newspaper reports centred on the General after all). A shame about the spots and abrasions, it has been through the wars!

Seller hadn't realised book had been sold until I contacted him after a week to ask if it had been despatched. Item sent in an hardbacked envelope that couldn't cope with the weight of the book and Royal Mail had to repackage. As this was during the postal strikes I was lucky to get it.
