I used some alcohol wipes on it to take off what appeared to be some sort of grease or cleaning product. It also arrived packaged slightly differently than the item pictured. I guess this is the best I can hope for, for an item that is no longer being manufactured. If it had been described as used but in very good condition, I think that would have been more accurate.
