The wires are a bit thicker and the case around the motor housing is designed to keep dust and dirt from getting into the motor components unlike the original. It is a bit louder though due to more power. I had no issues installing this replacement motor, very much a plug and play. 10/10 would recommend as an upgrade/replacement.
