    Item packing was squash in a exact size envelope so couldn't give as a gift. Not sure if this is Genuine Hakuhodo, appearance quality seems very poor. On washing the bristles was dry, brittle, alot of sheading and breakage, it was scratchy with a dent on one of the handles. Very unlike my other brushes. I was not able to detect any problems from the photos. If it's genuine it was probably a factory reject.. It's still usable and I already washed it so unlikely to get a refund.
