Not what I expected - these are pre-hardened. Dimensions are variable from piece to piece by as much as .002 inch.

Material is within a couple of thousandths of nominal diameter - varies by 1 or two thousandths from piece to piece. Unfortunately for my application, the material comes pre-hardened, so cannot by easily machined or threaded. As such, it will be useful for making pins, but I'll have to purchase proper drill rod for many applications.
