NetGear media streamer technologies are designed to be used in tandem with Internet connections and other hard drives through a home network connection. As a media center, the NetGear PTV2000 has an HDMI connection and is capable of displaying media that is up to 1080p in video resolution. With both HDMI and AV connections, this digital HD media streamer can display images and video from computers, hard drives, and other media storage locations. The NetGear media streamer weighs only .40 lbs and is small enough to fit easily into almost any home entertainment system. The NetGear PTV2000 does require a system that comes complete with Intel Wireless Display but is compatible with a wide range of screens and media types. This digital HD media streamer is compatible with most media types but does require a computer with an Intel processor to display Blu-ray video through a network. The NetGear media streamer is designed as a media entertainment system for use with various PCs, hard drives, and more through home network connections.
