Synopsis
Unraveling the fascinating puzzle of who the Tyrannosaurus rexes were and how they lived, this book shares the amazing story of the uncovering and painstaking restoration of prehistory's most popular monster. Written by the most successful T. rex hunter in history, this guide tells how a crew without university grants or funding, even without PhDs, were able to buck the academic establishment and sometimes even the United States government and the FBI in the pursuit of discovery. Legal issues pertaining to the ownership of the finds are fully examined, as is the art, science, and high technology of creating the fantastic restored skeletons that are marveled at in museums., Unraveling the fascinating puzzle of who the Tyrannosaurus rexes were and how they lived, this book shares the amazing story of the uncovering and painstaking restoration of prehistory s most popular monster. Legal issues pertaining to the ownership of the finds are fully examined, as is the art, science, and high technology of creating the fantastic restored skeletons that are marveled at in museums.", In Interpreting Young Adult Literature , John Moore does something new: he explores the complex interpretive possibilities of young adult novels in the classroom. He crosses the borders of English studies and methods, examining new ways to know literature, new understandings of literary interpretation, and new literatures to teach. Moore's book presents intriguing ways of thinking about how language works, how we read books, and how we teach them. The theory chapters are presented according to the reading and interpretive issues they address, examining formalism, archetypal criticism, structuralism/semiotics, deconstruction, reader-response, feminism, black aesthetics, and cultural studies. Each of these chapters covers key concepts and basic terms of the theory, introduces and interprets a young adult text from that perspective, and invites readers to join the conversation. The concluding section of each chapter discusses other young adult texts that can be approached from that theory and suggests additional critical studies appropriate for teaching these texts. In the last chapter, Moore draws on theoretical ideas and practices from earlier chapters to demonstrate how a young adult novel may be interpreted from multiple perspectives. Interpreting Young Adult Literature provides such a solid grounding in applied theory that it will enrich the teaching of any work of fiction. It has much to offer middle and high school language arts teachers as well as English methods instructors.

Book as pictured, sufficient packaging for protective purposes, good value, reasonable shipping time. The only thing I noticed was some minor water damage and a taped area that appeared small.

Wow! If this vendor's goal was to impress this first time buyer, then that was succeeded 100 percent! My product arrived on time earlier today and I give high marks for each recommended topic, which are quality, condition, value, and appearance! It came securely packaged and new as advertised! I look forward later to viewing my new movie, and the vendor has earned my recommendation to others who seek purchasing similar merchandise! Thanks a whole lot!

Needed a specific issue of Mainline Modeler, and this seller had exactly what I needed. The price was right, the condition of the magazine was as described, and the magazine was well packaged and quickly shipped. I’d definitely purchase from this seller again.
