    Not made from Brass. I ordered the 'shaker knob' in polished chrome. It's heavy and looks great. For my intended purpose I needed to re-drill the screw hole and the metal dust that tipped out was charcoal grey and granular, I then filed the flat back face of the knob to expose more grey metal. The knob is made from zinc alloy not solid brass. Chromed car door handles are zinc alloy and that's quite normal, but to call this a SOLID BRASS piece is misleading and quite wrong!
