NHL 97 features all 26 teams, as well as the east and west all-star teams. Play an exhibition game, the playoffs, or a complete season. Trade and create players to assemble the best team ever. The NHL's superstars have their signature moves which make them stand out from the other players. They can also be identified by their name and position that are placed underneath of the player you are controlling so you always know who you've got. Nine camera angles let you see the game action from any direction you want. Plenty of statistics are tracked during season play and league leaders are available in all of the major categories.
