When paired with one original 2GB module and a single new 8GB it does work. Shows 10GB installed and the improvement was obvious. 10GB verses the 16GB I wanted was not a deal breaker. This is what I get for not dumping my old hardware. I really don't need a desktop and 2 laptops but... The seller did their part.
