The only way to simulate DDL is to use the Headlights or Parking Lights. This means there is no speed indicator (Speedo) because this device is Digital and goes out when the Headlights or Parking lights are turned on, in daylight. This GPS Speedometer worked immediately I plugged it into a USB outlet. It reads within 1.0 KMH of the vehicle Speedometer. It is highly ledgible and the simple readout of 4 Compass points is useful.
