You must either modify the housing or ...... take out the gut's and put it into the old housing from a previous OEM Kobalt battery. As of yet, have not tested the battery longevity or the quality of the cells to determine runtime and such. Still .. Fairly cheap product if it holds up, but not a drop in fit.
