Ward, a British author and soldier, was a, proponent of the Oxfordian theory, which posits that de Vere, was the true author of Shakespeare's works. The biography, offers insights into de Vere's upbringing, education, and court, life. After his father's death in 1562, the twelve-year-old de, Vere became a royal ward and was placed under the guardianship, of Sir William Cecil. His education included studies in, languages, cosmography, and the arts, reflecting the, Renaissance ideals of the time .

- 6***t (416)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseThe encyclopedia of art arrived in excellent condition, I want to thank you for how you packed the set of books which made it easier to handle. The encyclopedia is exactly as described and I believe was very fairly priced. The books arrived over a four day period but in the end I think it was the best way to ship them. I want to thank you, it is a great encyclopedia and I can only wonder why librarians would ever remove these books from their collections. Thank you so much, Howard
