Product Information

Tyron Industries has decided that it no longer needs human workers at its space stations. Instead, it has bought an expensive set of automated systems to carry out their duties. As a software engineer working at Station MRP-6F, it is your job to install the systems and insure that they're working properly.<br><br>Unfortunately, your job isn't going to be an easy one. Not only will you have to deal with a hostile alien ship, but you'll also find the new automated systems working against you. Your job is to stop the aliens and errant machinery long enough so that you can leave the station before it reaches Defcon 1 and is obliterated.<br><br>Defcon 5 by Millennium Interactive is a multi-genre game which focuses primarily on first-person shooting but also delves into the world of computers and their internal systems. In Defcon 5, players will be called upon to defend their base at all costs, at least until they can get away from it. You'll have to blast aliens out of the many corridors of the station and break into the ship's automated systems, using the computer's power for your benefit.<br><br>To do this, you'll have to travel the desolate halls of the space station, locating terminals and blasting whatever vile aliens get in your way. Aliens release a toxic gas when they are killed, and if you kill too many of them in one area, you won't be able to travel through it for a short period of time. Of course, occasionally you can stop aliens from boarding all together by taking control of gun turrets on the station and blasting their ships away before they can land.<br><br>As the game goes along, the plot will unravel through cut-scenes and computerized information. You'll have to balance your time between manipulating your systems and destroying aliens, ultimately fleeing from the station before it blows itself into so much space dust. So go ahead, get to work.
