Notes
This legendary 1956 Newport Concert is now twice as long (an additional 100+ minutes) and in stereo for the 1st time! Featuring supplemental studio material (originally passed off with fake applause as live concert performances), this release boasts saxophonist Paul Gonsalves' 27-chorus solo on the climactic "Diminuendo And Crescendo in Blue" in crystal clear sound. Part of Columbia/Legacy's Ellington Centennial celebration, it features 20-bit digital remastering and deluxe packaging.
