Regrettably, when I needed to remove the tire a couple of weeks later, I discovered that a piece of one of the six plastic clips had broken off. The seller reassured me that the caps were "overengineered" to remain in place even if one or two clips were broken. To avoid another lost cap, however, I returned the initial part and ordered a new one. The seller was very helpful in this process.
