Unfortunately it does not seem this cartridge is a genuine Nintendo one but I also don't believe the seller was maliciously selling a fake, the gba market is flooded with convincing knock offs. The cartridge has the game and is operational and the ability to play the game is what I was after so I'm happy enough with the purchase still.
