I had to file the groove to get the string to slide through. Also requires predrilling holes. Also, the spring under the pedal makes an annoying clicking sound when it scrapes up against the wood, so I need to put some fabric at the spring ends to dampen the sound. Pretty frustrated getting what I got after waiting a while, I requested a return. Sadly the seller was too reluctant to cooperate and kept replying with lame excuses until I had to ask Ebay to step in. Far from wanting to get personal, apparently this seller still has a thing or two to learn on Ebay, so I would exercise a bit of caution if or when buying an item there.
