The Nexus One was the first smartphone developed by HTC on behalf of Google. Originally conceived in 2009, the Nexus One was intended to be a phone capable showcasing the upcoming Android operating system, which was developed alongside the Nexus One. The final release date was January 5, 2010, with the system going on to sell worldwide in the following years. The Nexus One was among the first smartphone devices to be sold unlocked and without a SIM card, although T-Mobile cards were soon made available. Quickly nicknamed the "Droid," it proved hugely popular and showed the viability of Android products.Since the Nexus One phone was intended to be a premium device showing off the capabilities of Android as well as the first of a new line of Nexus devices, it was equipped with effective and high-speed hardware technology. The core of the device is a 1 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion CPU, supplemented by a Qualcomm Adreno 200 GPU. The motherboard and system are of the Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 build. It has 512MB of system memory with 190MB dedicated to the operating system. A 4GB microSDHC card was included with the ability to support up to 32GB cards. It is powered by a rechargeable 1400 mAh lithium-ion battery. The screen is capable of supporting a 480 × 800-pixel resolution, so you'll be able to view crystal-clear images. It also has a 254 PPI display and an AMOLED screen design. It has unique specs that integrate a translucent trackball, which can be illuminated to show different notification types as well as a supplementary touchscreen, which is also an effective input method.
