Video Checkers takes the classic game of checkers and adds 19 variations, one of which offers two-player support. The board consists of 64 squares alternating between two colors (red and black or green and beige). Players start with 12 pieces of the same color and take turns trying to capture opposing pieces by jumping over them. The game ends when one person can no longer move.<br><br>The first nine games are variations of regular checkers against the computer, the tenth allows for two players, and the remaining games are variations of "giveaway checkers." This version of the game has you trying to become the first player unable to move, whether it's from losing all of your pieces or by being blocked.<br><br>Besides offering two-player support, normal checkers and giveaway checkers, Video Checkers also provides multiple challenge levels. As you increase the difficulty, the computer will take longer to move as it considers more alternatives to defeat you. In addition, flipping the difficulty switches will let players switch colors or practice moves by customizing the board.
