This is a reasonable choice if you are trying to setup an inexpensive desktop or small server.
You need to use caution when choosing other components though, as this is not a
typical consumer motherboard. Research on the Intel Website.
- It REQUIRES unregistered DDR3 ECC Dram for memory.
These are available at a reasonable price if you buy used.
- The C202 chipset is quite fussy about what processors it supports.
Not all LGA1155 CPUs will work. An Xeon E3-1240, 1270, or 1290 is good.
