    The part is so small BUT uniquely shaped that at first I thought it's a shame to pay $16 delivered....BUT.......completely worth it. Where Mercedes uses rubber or plastics it seems to not be just ANY rubber or plastic I've observed for a decade on my 450,000-mile diesel of course 240D Euro stick shift manual beauty of a restoration rolling project. The closing and opening of hood is now 100% perfect, having replaced this simple looking part along with lubing of course.
