About this product
Product Information
Step back into the annals of Rugby League history and experience some of the greatest ever games from the St. George Dragons. Joining the competition in 1921 the dragons won an amazing 11 successive Premierships between 1956 and 1966 an achievement never since repeated. Sit back and enjoy five classic Broncos games from the Rugby League archives, each presented in their entire original broadcast format a must-have for the true Broncos fan. 1989, ROUND 11 | DRAGONS 20 10 BRONCOS - When the dragons met the Wally Lewis led Broncos in 1989 one of the great NRL rivalries was born. Running in three tries to two, and a nearly flawless kicking performance from Ricky Walford the Dragons claimed first blood in what would become one of the greatest rivalries in NRL history. 1991, ROUND 13 | DRAGONS 28 14 ROOSTERS - In an amazing performance from English flyer Martin Chariots Offiah who scores a hat-trick against a Roosters side he guested for when he was last in Australia, the Dragons put the Roosters to the sword claiming a memorable victory. 1991, ROUND 17 | DRAGONS 28 26 BRONCOS - Brisbane had been a graveyard for Dragons sides in the past, and until the dying moments it looked like this game would continue the trend, enter Ricky Walford who unloads a miracle pass to Mick Potter for a converted try on the bell, breaking the Brisbane hoodoo. 1993, SEMI FINAL | DRAGONS 31 10 RAIDERS - A Mark Coyne inspired Dragons side rides roughshod over the Canberra Raiders running in five tries to two, handing the Raiders a Semi Final thrashing. 1995, ROUND 16 | DRAGONS 25 12 MAGPIES - Billed at the time as the last Rugby League game at the SCG, Gorden Tallis draws inspiration from the 1963 Premiership winning team to spark victory over their traditional rivals. SPECIAL BONUS FEATURE 1988, PANASONIC CUP GRAND FINAL | DRAGONS 16 8 EELS - Enjoy bonus extended highlights* of the Dragons last piece of silverware won before becoming a joint venture in 1999. *A full version of this game does not exist in the archives.
