Upon examining it, I found no excessive wear or cosmetic issues. There was a spot of some sticky substance on the barrel when I turned the zoom ring, but it wiped right off with a damp cloth. Overall, the appearance was good. The lens performs beautifully. On the first day, there was some "hunting" with the auto-focus, for the past couple of days and over 300 shots, there has been no hunting. The price was excellent!
