Easy to fit although the bar only had one ended bored to accept the screws. I ended up using one of four screws included in the kit I used through the hole in the side of the handle to screw into the bar. This worked really well and the new unit feels much more solid than the one we had previously

They have a push-on cap to cover the insides. The rod was a bit long, and with too few holes so it could not be sawn down to length because there would then have been no hole for the screw. It did the job, just, by standing the knob off from the lock using one of the mounting plates as a spacer (like a big washer). [ Fixing a 50 year old shed ]
