Anyway, some oil and a few good whacks with a hammer and it finally slid into place. It will take some kind of puller to get it off. Don't know if there was something wrong with my shifter shaft or if the lever was machined poorly. Hence the positive review.

Nice sharp point and thankfully it was never sharpened like some people do. My only gripe is the pommel spins around, that wasn’t in the description but not a big deal considering the fair price. So everything from packaging , communication and it looks great out of the box. Local seller so I may have found a new person to deal with who’s close by. Thank you sir !
