- SIGNED EDITION. This book is in Very Good+ condition and has a, Fine dust jacket. The book and its contents are in mostly, clean, bright condition. There is some beginning bumping to the, bottom spine end of the book cover. The text pages are mostly, clean and bright, but do have toning, especially to the edges, due to the acid content of the paper. This copy has been signed, on the title page by Baxter in blue ink. The dust jacket is, crisp and clean. "The dream begins with a disaster. Given the, task of dismantling NASA's aging shuttle program, after a, horrifying re-entry crash, Paula Benacerraf comes up with a, bold plan to keep America in space using existing technology.", "Another category, outside of the main body of Baxter's, independent work, is sequels and installments of, science-fiction classics. His first novel to achieve wide, recognition (winning three literary awards) was The Time Ships,, an authorised sequel to H. G. Wells' The Time Machine. The Time, Odyssey series, a trilogy co-authored with Arthur C. Clarke, is, connected to Clarke's four Space Odyssey novels. Another novel, is based on a synopsis written by Clarke, The Light of Other, Days. Baxter has also published a Doctor Who novel, The Wheel, of Ice. In 2010, Baxter began working on a new series with, Terry Pratchett. This collaboration has produced five books,, The Long Earth, The Long War, The Long Mars, The Long Utopia, and The Long Cosmos.
